7:28pm: Aww MAN, I rented Y Tu Mama Tambien to watch it finally, and it was v. good, but apparently I rented the R rated version, not non-rated..and..yeah. it cuts out stuff, even an entire scene. *cries* Want my missing stuff!! ;.; It's not like I care about missing the sex, but apparently at least an entire scene was cut ("Iwas outraged to find that the movie's most pivotal scene was essentially cut, changing the overall meaning and (to me) main point of the film. ") and I hate watching abridged versions of things. And you could TELL when watching it that they cut stuff short. Well, at least this gives me an excuse to bug my sister to let me go buy the real version tonight >_>

3:47pm: Well, that was waaay harder than I had expected. It took nearly 40 minutes (in a library with books on only one level o_O), the help of three librarians (one to point me in one direction, one to help me find the complete works, and one to ring in my stuff and fight with my card cuz I always get replacement cards, apparently, that refuse to work right away o_O ). It took helpful lj comments from Quinnie and Shannie (thank you ;.; *glomp*) but I finally got them.

I had hoped for a huge fricking thing when I looked for Complete Works, but I feared a tiny little thing full of abridgement (cuz i didn't know then that complete = not allowed to be edited/abridged like Quinnie said.). I found something that was around 20 volumnes long o_O If I end up falling in love with this author's books, I have definately found a treasure trove. Here's what I got:

#5 (A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court)
#9 (The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, complete with an illustration of some woman that freaks me out cuz she looks all I LOOK AT JOO, HUCK, WITH MADNESS IN MY EYES. *shudder*)
#14 (Tom Sawyer Abroad. No clue what it's about, but hey.)

I got some book outside the complete works, that MAY be abridged, i dunno. I don't even know whether it's short stories more than what I have, or stuff from thje two books, or something else completely. I'll find out. But it's got some Huck and Tom stuff in it and it's called "Mark Twain's Hannibal, huck and Tom". I'm going to go ahead and IGNORE the Hannibal part, cuz I have no idea what it's about and I don't know if I even want to know o_O. It looks like I'm missing "Tom Sawyer, Detective" but I'll just go ahead and BUY that sometime. o_O. Or look right now and see if they have it, cuz if they do I'll return this weird little comic thing I got as well and get that (there's a 6 book limit *sniff*) Yes, I really get into research. Well, it's part research and part I just wanna read this stuff. I wouldn't be this much into research if I didn't. ^_^;..

3:20pm: *deep breath* Okay. I seem to have found a book (which may be from 1920s , or so it says it was published then, but considering they have like 12 copies I dont believe that and I think it's just saying that's when teh publisher started. Or. Um.Something) which contains Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, something called Tom Sawyer abroad, and a bunch of other stuff. It's called "The COmplete Works of Mark Twain".

Hopefully that's unabridged and UNEDITED. I'm interested in the "Tom Sawyer Abroad" thing. Hrm.

3:15pm: No. What's with all these retellings of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn that are _under 40 pages long_?! Fuck, the edition for kids when I was a kid was longer, and it was _abridged_!!

*cries* Library, have something other than these kiddy editions... PLEASE...

7:40am: May go home and sleep after work, or may go to school for my class(it's whatever day I want it to be, yo o_O), because then I can pick up my writing portfolio and get TS/HF from the school library. Yeah. I think I'll do that.

It seems to be the year of period movies. Or is it always the year of period movies, and I just never seem to notice?

We've got the pirate movie. We've got the 1899 movie. We've got the wild west movie, and we've got the samurai movie.(Why does the title of that one sound familiar, anyway?) We've got a coming of age story. Anything else?

And is it just me, or do they seem to be making movies from different stuff lately? A heck of a lot more classic-books-to-movies, and at least 2 roller-coaster-rides-to-movies. o_O.

Hee.. .watching the trailer for the Last Samurai, I was wondering why the name sounded familiar, and then going "that guys's hot...this looks cool..." ect ect and then it said TOM CRUISE. I was all "WHAT?! THat doesn't look like Tom Cruise!" and my mom did agree ^_^; IT DOESN'T. >_> Not that Tom Cruise isn't cute, but it just looked like a different person o_O

It's a League of Extraodinary Gentlemen fic ^_^; Yes, I saw it, family went.(was supposed to go with someone else first but mom really wanted to go see it so yeah) DUDE. THE MOVIE ROCKS ;.; *showers love upon Tom Sawyer*

Anyway, as I have to read _two books_ to make sure it's canonically correct (-_-) no one but Kira will see this fic for a few weeks, probably. >_> Unless someone asks and doesn't mind probable massive OOCness ^_^; *pokes at it* Silly thing.

11:01pm: Bahaha, I _knew_ Ranma with the bandanna sounded familiar!! xPP Not the SAME bandanna (Or is it? o-O Manga covers have weird colouring sometimes, at least compared to the anime colors), but that's an ep where it does make sense. If I remember correct the story of that manga arc/episode. (Not directlinking the pic, but it's 3rd row, 7th from the top.)

Hmm. Realized today that hair-wise, I now have Ranma Saotome hair. (Guy type). o_O That... pleases me. Hee hee *^_^* I have the exact layers and everything, only thing is off is a bit of blonde I have (otherwise black) and my bangs are a little short.

But I'm making a Ryouga-chan costume... (I'm using the earlier shirt, not the yellow one, but the black with the torn sleeves. This may have only been in the manga, though... I haven't seen his early days in the anime. But I'll scan the costume later.) So I bought a one dollar priced bandanna today, it's not the same but it looks similiar a bit... it's similiar enough for a hair test (plus it's a great bandanna and definately worth more than a dollar). I did a hair test today, I couldn't do what I'll do when I actually do the costume (pin my hair till it looks boy length, and cover the pins with the bandanna) cuz I don't have the pins yet, but I pulled my hair back out of sight to test it. My bangs are a little short for Ryoga, but that's ok cuz they'll grow. But I'm amused cuz I can do Ranma hair and Ryouga bandanna. o-O Ranma would look cute if he made off with Ryouga's bandanna. *^__^*.

But yeah... I actually feel really cute with the bandanna and braid. It actually gives me the look of the facial shape that's correct for Ryouga-san and a few of Takahashi-san's characters, which is odd... and it makes my eyes look more anime-ish. *^_^* I like it. Whee.

I'm not gonna buy the clothes for now (martial arts training starts again next week, which means buying it now for october would be unwise). My sister wondered why I wasn't making a Ranma costume.... I guess i gotta make one of those too now XD; Er. I _am_ going to do the Ryouga fangs, I just gotta see the dentist about having them made as an appliance. Price and all that. My sister had it done for a vampire costume once.

Does anyone know what type of umbrella his is? I gotta get one (minus the heavy poundage)...

12:01pm: The bees apparently do not understand that watering flowers=flowers grow, as I was unable to water some cuz of them FLYING AROUND wjere I had to get through. It took me a few times to be able to water two, and it took about 5 minutes to be able to get inside because they insisted on being on the stairs that go in. Oyy.

9:26pm: *^_^* I feel like the 14 year old girl that discovered Ranma 1/2 and was charmed forever again. I forgot about it for too long and found it again just the other day. Most my tapes are missing ;.; But I found some of my graphic novels *^_^* And I found _one_ tape! Good eps, too. *^_^*
